Common questions
Is Walti free?
Yes. Walti is free to download and use for logging expenses, budgets, history, trends and widgets. Walti Premium is an optional one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited recurring expenses, per-category budgets, unlimited custom categories, full analytics and every accent theme. There is no subscription.
Do I need an account?
No. There’s no sign-up, no login and no cloud sync. Open the app and start logging — Walti works fully offline.
Does Walti connect to my bank?
No. Walti never asks for bank logins and doesn’t use a third-party aggregator. You log expenses yourself in a couple of seconds, which keeps your data private and your records accurate.
Where is my data stored?
Only on your iPhone. Walti has no servers, no analytics SDKs and no ad trackers, and its App Store privacy label reads “Data Not Collected”.
How do I back up or move my expenses?
Go to Settings › Data › Export data to save a JSON file with everything in Walti. Import it on the same or another device — only what’s missing is added, nothing is overwritten or removed. Your data also comes along with a regular iCloud or Quick Start transfer to a new iPhone.
How do I restore my Premium purchase?
Open Settings › Upgrade to Premium and tap Restore purchase, signed in with the same Apple Account you used to buy it.
I’m not getting the daily reminder
Check iOS Settings › Notifications › Walti and make sure notifications are allowed; a Focus mode can also hold them back. The reminder only arrives on days you haven’t logged anything yet.
Does Walti track subscriptions and bills?
Yes. Set up weekly, monthly or yearly expenses for rent, bills and subscriptions. Walti shows what is due and waits for your confirmation before adding anything to your history.
Can I use my own currency?
Yes. Pick any currency in Settings and every amount, budget and widget uses it. No conversion is applied — only the symbol changes.
What languages does Walti support?
More than 40, including English, Turkish, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Russian, Arabic, Hindi and Dutch.
